Teotihuacan

The “City of the Gods” and its giant pyramids.

Overview

At its height Teotihuacan was home to perhaps 100,000 people. Its planned grid is centred on the Avenue of the Dead, lined by the Pyramid of the Sun and the Pyramid of the Moon. Centuries after its decline, the Aztecs gave the ruins the name we use today.
